About
This spellbinding and risque cabaret has been drawing in the crowds with its pulsating songs performed by a talented dancers dressed in outrageous costumes. Keep an eye out for the dizzying can-can dance, which is one of the show’s highlights. There are usually two evening shows—for the full experience, opt for the dinner and show package. The VIP ticket typically includes privileged seat access, half a bottle of champagne, chocolates or macarons, and a complimentary coat check ticket. Matinee shows available on certain days, too. – Tripadvisor

    Just Okay
My husband and I attended the show at the Moulin Rouge April 18th at 9PM. Our tickets did not include dinner or champagne. We were seated at a table and could not see the stage very good. I guess you need to at least purchase champagne to get a decent seat. The show was good with pretty and colorful costumes. The singers lip synced. There were acts of strength which were impressive, a swimmer with snakes not impressive and two roller skaters which were good. All in all an average evening and I guess when in Paris you should go at least once. The event space was really crowded and our concern was if there is a fire how does one exit the building? So I guess we felt it was an average evening with some potential safety issues.

    Just go!
Ok, this has been on my Tourist list for a long time. Finally checked the box and thats been done. We had a ball here. We booked just the experience with Champagne. The Champagne is marginal (sweet), and if you like that, they ou are ok. We had to flag down our waiter to upgrade our bottle of champagne, and they have better champagne available. Beer and other wines are available as well. I was not prepared for the full frontal nudity . But, it worked. The costumes were amazing and the talent was fantastic. We had a good time. Give it a go! Its a kick!

Spectacular two hour show even if the crowd is packed in like sardines
The building of course is inconic on the outside and the inside. The best thing about visiting the Moulin Rouge is of course the show which boasts some cleaver and colourful stage sets and props, the girls are spectacular with guys really just additional props to support the girls. The costumes and stories told through dance are wonderful and interspersed are circus acts which themselves are no slouches and certainly had the crowd glued to the stage. The whole thing lasts about two hours so it is value for money. The downside is the seating, they sure pack the audience in to some rinky dinky little tables and seats. My advice is get there early as the seats are not pre alllocated. Dont turn up at the last minute and expect the best view. Of course the more you spend on your ticket the better your options, I just came for show and one I had sorted out my legs my view if the show was unimpared and I enjoyed every moment of it. I know if its tradition that people eat and party here (there is pre show entertainment), but if I was in the Moulin Rouges shoes I would rip out those tables and put in proper theatre seating. They could still have a restauarant gallery. There is of course some mild nudity but believe me you hardly notice as it is all done so tastefully. This is an art form and not the tourist trap it is often made out to be, I will visit again.

Don't waste your time unless you have never been to burlesque
I loved the area Moulin Rouge is in. However we had front row seats and I was very disappointed. I have been to burlesque shows in New Orleans and Key West that were much better. Being world famous I thought the show would be amazing. The only good things about it were the costumes with the large feather headdresses. The acts in between the burlesque were amazing. Definitely not worth the money. They do have a very good band before hand and you can dance. The food was so so. We went as part of our Trafalgar tour so were treated very well, but even that didn't make it worth the money.

Better than expected. Great food pre-show. Entertaining evening. Seating rather cramped.
Service was very good, as was the food. Veal was beautifully cooked and served mediums to medium rare. Entertaining show. Not sure about the semi-naked dancers - is that still necessary in 2023? Clever mix of acts - loved the quirky acts.

I can’t speak French, so I’ll let the funk music do the talking
Had the most magical 30th Birthday evening watching the show. A bottle of champagne really made the experience special too. The detail of everything was so beautiful and the way the table is designed for your party makes it feel intimate when you’re actually in a crowded room! The show itself was amazing and you didn’t need to be able to speak French to understand what was going on, amazing voices and dancers throughout!

What an absolutely amazing show, and glasses of champagne to accompany the performance! Words can’t describe the fantastic dancers, acrobats, you name it, all incredibly talented people. Certainly not a cheap night out, but truly memorable. So glad we were able to attend with a group of friends.

    Fantastic show
We had a fantastic night, the show was amazing and definitely worth going to see. All the staff were great and very helpful. We booked the show and champagne for 9pm, my fiancé isn’t a fan of champagne so he was offered 2 different drinks of his choice instead which was nice. We arrived 30 minutes before the show and got fantastic seats. The seating is tight, 6 people to a small table but it was manageable. I would recommend anyone visiting Paris to go if you can. Watch out for taxis outside after the show, we asked one and he wanted €75 for any journey in Paris, a total rip off. Walk a bit further away before trying to get a taxi and ask for a price first.

    Let down by seating
This was a really fun experience! It’s very expensive for what it is (but it’s Paris). Seating situation is quite bad, and really dependent on luck. We arrived early as the seating isn’t allocated, but the queue management is really poor and doesn’t have much of a system. So we ended up with the worst seats on our table, blocked by the heads of other people - very disappointing. Letting people choose their seats online would help solve this as people would know what to expect.

    Iconic Show, would recommend
I have been to Paris many times. I had never been to the Moulin Rouge, but when we travel, we like to do at least one evening show/event. I thought this might be fun and iconic, but was terrified by the reviews. I am a fairly well rounded person with lots of experiences such as seeing shows in the West End in London, going to Broadway in New York and have always enjoyed local theatre, traveling theater groups, and have gone to several cirque de soleil shows as well as symphonies and concerts. We did the 9pm show, no dinner or drinks as we had just come from dinner at Pink Mamma down the street. First, people are here to have fun and see the “iconic” and historic show. Everyone was in a good mood. I was not sure what to expect, but I am always open minded. We ended up getting a bottle of champagne once we sat down. The show was fun! The costumes were great, the music was fun, and we had a good time! I can’t imagine coming here and being so negative, but clearly, some people are just negative. We are a straight couple, 50 years old, and pretty positive people who just enjoy life. Should you do it? Yes, I think so. If you have any inkling at all and the funds, I say there is no reason not to go if you want to. I am sure there are other productions to see in the city, but the week we were there, there wasn’t much else we wanted to see.

We got VIP tickets for 11pm which included bottle of champagne and 2small boxes of macarons.
The staff asker us from what from what country we were and sited as at the table with compatriots.
Then we were taking pictures near the bar and got into unpleasant encounter with some Russian women with bad face lifts . They were talking loudly during all the show and even taking pictures and videos from the show which was not allowed, but obviously not for that low class crowd.
My View was … from the balcony from the second row, so the had a pleasure to enjoy half of the show with the bonus of profile of the guy sitting at the table in front of me .
Show was not bad but the whole experience wasn’t worth all the money we were charged for.

Ooh la la! This was a fabulous show! We went to the 9 pm show (no dinner) and the show is beautifully and artfully creative. Great dancing, several indescribably "acts" of balancing, skating, a water feature, and feats. The costumes, sets, and beauty of the dancing were as good or better than Las Vegas or anything in NYC. It was over at 10:25 with no intermission and there is an 11 pm show. The french do it right!

Overhyped and underwhelming, poorly executed and really just very very uncomfortable viewing.
The rollerskating act, the water act, gymnasts were good and have talent but these acts play only just a tiny percentage of the show.
We had the vip package which was expensive and not worth it at all. However, from the start I can’t fault the welcome, the Laurent Perrier rose on tap through the performance and our table service was perfectly acceptable. That is where it ended.
The only way I can describe it is “ a crazy scene from the kids show lazy town” but on steroids! We just kept looking at each other totally confused by what was going on in front of us.
Poor dancers with very little rhythm or coordination. A hugely underwhelming can can ( we are in PARIS ) . Singing was lip synced which was just cringe! Every female performer had her breasts out. I’m no prude but it’s totally unnecessary and totally classless. What happened to burlesque and class?
Next, on come the clowns, the weird twin scene and I know moulin rouge was known for its eccentric air but this was just next level naff!!!
Im guessing the no filming or photography is partly because if footage was leaked, your seats would be empty. Don’t fall for the marketing videos…. Not a true reflection
I ticked a box, would I go again? Never!!
Spend your money elsewhere guys!

Have just returned from seeing the Moulin Rouge show. We treated ourself to the VIP tickets.
Was quite anxious as previous reviews were quite negative.
Well I’m not sure what show and experience they have seen but this was amazing.
Yes the tickets were expensive; you are probably never going to do this again; memories last forever and I cannot recommend the VIP tickets any more.
We was treated like royalty, noting to much to ask for, the menu was excellent, very exquisite and very very tasty.
The view was amazing, the service was amazing the show was fantastic.x
Please don’t read all al the negative comment.
Book the VIP and the memories will last forever

What a spectacular show.
Real variety with acts additional to the very good dancers. The men in black routine was special.Very busy and not cheap, but we got value from the show.
If you can afford it go for prestige tickets…prime seats on private balcony, but these are very expensive.
Very impressed.

Fun burlesque show with dazzling costumes, mostly synchronized dance numbers, and amazing acrobatic acts sprinkled in.

With non-VIP tickets, we arrived on the early side around 8pm to get decent seats, and they initially sat us all the way in the back in the corner. My husband’s view was partially obstructed by a column— even though there were other empty tables in the tier below/ in front of us. After asking if we could be moved, we eventually got a host to begrudgingly re-seat us.

They could get away with giving you a LOT less, and it's very impressive that despite this, they give you VERY good French food, and warm, personalised service.

The show is great, and much more generous (in length) than you might expect.

Basically, you pay a lot, but you get what you pay for! A fantastic night out, and I highly recommend it.

My friends and I attended a show at the Moulin Rouge, booking over three months in advance. Despite the anticipation and the iconic reputation of the venue, our experience was marred by seating arrangements. We were placed at the back of the room, sharing a table with strangers. This setup severely restricted our view, allowing us to see only half of the stage at any given time. For a ticket priced at 150 euros, it was disappointing to miss out on the full spectacle due to obstructed sightlines.

However, the portion of the show we could see was good. The costumes were stunning and the music was captivating. It's just unfortunate that they push so many people in the room that the seating arrangement prevent the people really see the show and immerse in the experience.

We went to the crazyhorse 1 year ago, and the experience was much more intimist and overall more appreciable
