This is Amazing!!!

Runs through the center of Paris. In the evenings people/the locals sit along both sides of the river and drink, talk and eat!!! It is so inviting. A really beautiful place!

Cruised with Viking Cruises in early December from Paris down close to Normandy....Outstanding....beautiful scenery, quaint towns, many waterfowl, many locks, but very small amount of commercial traffic...& never saw anything resembling a private boat...never did figure that one out. Don't know what the quality is, but did see numerous fishermen. We docked each night near a town..with a bridge over... More

The bateaux mouches are a bit pricey, I think over 40euros per person, but walking/running along the Seine will take you by the Tour Eiffel, Louvre, musée d'Orsay, Luxembourg Gardens, and Notre Dame. The whole way is gorgeous. Highly recommend for good running in the morning or day if you don't mind foot traffic.

We loved the river as we biked and walked along it. It was the boat ride that was sterile to us. We got jammed onto a tour boat after waiting almost 45 minutes in line and travel up and down a river to see the sights that we have already seen was anti-climatic to us. If we went at night,... More

Literally you can't miss it! If you go to Paris you will see the Seine! Take a couple of hours to stroll among the booksellers, lining the banks! It is a great fun and a unique glimps of Paris!

A guided boat tour on the River was well worth the time to enjoy and appreciate the history along the way.

Make sure to catch one of the riverboat tours. There are some that offer meals and others that are just a tour! i think the meal would have been lovely!

We enjoyed our evening sightseeing tour on the river. Also during the day the boats can drop you off near different attractions. It is a great way to see many famous attractions in Paris. During the day the river has many boats parked along the side that are interesting to look at. A fun ride on the river!!

Pick a sunny day while in Paris and walk along the river Seine. They have a paved area for much of the river. You'll go up and down a few stairs, but it's not strenuous. You'll pass boats that are docked or moving down the river. You'll be able to browse artists who are selling their creations. You'll see couples... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
