Last 22 of November 2016 I had dinner on board at Bateaux Mouches, River Seine. It was a fantastic trip along the river, seeing the most fabulous views, including the Christmas Special Lights of the Eiffel Tower.

We took a seven day cruise down the Seine from Paris to Normandy. It was magnificent. The sights and scenery are beautiful. Love every moment.

Taking a boat down the Seine at night is a must. Paris comes alive with lights at night. Seeing the Eiffle Tower lighted at night is awesome.

We couldn't have asked for a better ending to our Europe (and Paris) Trip. We still had a couple of hours before leaving for the airport and decided to end our trip with a cruise along the Seine. We bought the tickets from Bateaux Mouches which is situated between Pont L'alma and Pont Alexander III. The friendly locals showed us... More

The river is beautiful and the boat ride takes you around covering most of the important places around Paris. We took the Batobus which is a hop on hop off river cruise. We realized that with just this one cruise we could cover most of the important places to visit in Paris. Definitely doing this again for my next visit.

Whether walking along the banks, watching the traffic on the river or the people walking by, the Seine is an important part of Paris life and culture. Cruising at night on the river is also a fabulous way of seeing the many monuments and structures in Paris.

The river seine runs through most of the important Paris monuments. Pick any bridge and sit to appreciate how the city is well built around this river. I recommend taking a river cruise (like a hop on hop off, but in boat form) to appreciate the river further.

Went on a river cruise and was freezing but well worth it. Crisp sunny day made the views outstanding and the guide was really entertaining.

We booked a cruise before our trip but it was clear we could also book it there. There were great views and lasted an hour. One of the main highlights of our trip!

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
