This opera house exceeded my expectations. It was absolutely stunning and grand. Loved every room in this place and spent about 2 hours with a group tour. Well worth the time and I am so glad I decided to see it.

Five of us went there for dinner on a Sunday evening. We ordered two seafood platters and they are fresh and nice. The wine selection is also quite good. Service is attentive and efficient.

The day we were there it was posted that the auditorium would not be fully lit. We were OK with that and paid the full admission price only to find out that we could not even see the interior of the auditorium because there was...More

On a cold January morning in Paris, we arrived at the Opera house expecting to wait in long lines as we had at many attractions. No line! We went right in and had the place essentially to ourselves. The architecture, the walk through history, and...More

We visited Palais Garner for a performance of Cosi Fan Tuttl. It is a beautiful building and well worth visiting to see the architecture and paintings. The singing in the opera was good, but the staging was strange - no furniture, just a few plastic...More

It's a wonderful, historic, beautiful place. Here are some tips: it's warm inside. If you have a boxed seat, you can always take off your coat or sweater and hang on a hook. I'm sure if you're reading this site, you already know to go...More

The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle
époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades,
and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here,
modern day workers continue to take advantage of the
legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th
century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and
cinemas sit side by side with French bistros
predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in

We went there towards the end of July and it was fine. We did not have to queue to get in, and although there were obviously quite a lot of tourists, it did not feel overcrowded. It was a very enjoyable visit.
