Beautiful!

A gem on the left bank of Seine. Beautiful exterior, with gargoyles. Old stained glass inside. I have assisted at a 15 minute organ rehearsal, splendid!

A lovely building
Oct 2019
Eglise Saint-Severin is quite an imposing building. We came across it while wandering around the streets of the Latin Quarter. The architecture is spectacular and it is just as good inside. Worth a visit.

Church for the students
Jan 2020
Located in the 5th Arr, stands this gothic church, (we especially love the gargoyles), built in the mid 7th century, standing the test of times,(after a couple of rebuilds), surrounded by lovely tight streets/alleys that haven't been Haussmann’ed. Inside it is a little dark and gloomy, however, this simply adds to the ecclesiastical atmosphere.

Lovely!

It’s a lovely small gothic church in the middle of the Quartier Latin. Sometimes it hosts classical concerts such as the Christmas Concerts.

A lovely old church with interesting stained glass
Oct 2019
We stopped in here between our visits to Notre Dame and the Cluny Museum. The architecture is grand, as are most churches here, and the stained glass is interesting. It is very modern glass and positioned behind the alter. They also have the standard religious stained glass windows that are very nice as well. They have some amazing old paintings and columns here. The Rose Window is gorgeous too. If your in the area, this church is worth a visit, though I'm not sure I would make it a destination.

Overlooked gem in the Latin quarter
Dec 2019
This Gothic masterpiece is one of the oldest churches in Paris, set amidst the Latin quarter.
On the facade one can spot wonderful gargoyles, while the classic Gothic arched interior has many fab stained glass.

Medieval Church
Jun 2019
This medieval church was a nice stop on our walk. It's gargoyles on the outside are rather unique compared to other churches in Paris these days and the inside design was just as interesting to look at.

Inside was very impressive.
Sep 2019 • Couples
Our hotel was right across from this very very very old cathedral. Our window faced the church and for the longest time we were not interested in going inside because the outside seemed very run down. In our last day in Paris we decided to go in. WOW, what a mistake we would have made if we skipped it. It's about 100x more grand from the inside than the outside. Great midevil gothic architecture. It's free to go in, but we gave money to the beggars that frequent the exit of this church.

We went from Louvre to the 6th Arrondissement where we walked around the area through small passages and visiting two churches and Église Saint-Séverin was one of them
