The removal of the love locks made this bridge less romantic and lost its allure to be even considered as an attraction. There are some locks sporadically placed on the lamp posts and places you're not supposed to put locks. The plexiglass railings prevented that. It has benches in the center, and mostly a pedestrian walkway to go from left... More

Same as other bridges, didn't impress me at all. Paris has many bridges, and I don't think they should be considered as tourist attractions.

Lovely foot bridge. Great views of the river in both directions. Ever-changing art and street artists/performers, but don't be a victim of pick pockets and scam artists that frequent the area. The "locks of love" (people used to attach padlocks with their names in marker to the steel handrails, how romantic) have been removed and new anti-lock railings installed as... More

Four years ago when I rated this attraction, I considered it "terrible" because of the hundreds of thousands of love locks that had destroyed the look of the bridge. They also interfered with looking at the view because of all the glittering metal. The weight caused a railing section to collapse and the city's attempt to get visitors to take... More

Built under Napoleon I, this pedestrian bridge, linking the Louvre to the Institut Francais, survived bombing from WWI & WWII and a major collision with a barge that collapse a large part of the bridge. It was entirely rebuilt in 1984 with only 6 arches instead of 9 originally. The Pont des Arts is now part of the UNESCO World... More

I know, I know, the locks. But the locks are gone now because of the damage the weight of them was doing to the Pont des Arts. You can get a great view of the Seine from this bridge in both directions, but I wouldn't go out of your way to visit it. And, like most bridges in Paris, it's... More

Provides a beautiful walk in this beautiful city and one of the iconic views of Paris. This bridge used to call ‘Love Lock Bridge’ but recently over one million "love locks" (weighing over 45 tons) have been removed following the collapse of some sections of the bridge barriers. It was wonder being surrounded by art and the atmosphere was just... More

if you are planing to leave your lock on this bridge, forget it. The side panels have been replaced with plastic. I believe this is a major setback to this bridge as it was probably one of their attractions. also don't drop anything as they might fall through the cracks and land in the Seine. The view of the tower... More
