The French expression which gives the title to my review means “strolling and looking at the shop windows” which actually is the main activity of the people who come here. It’s very entertaining to look at the shops of the famous brands!

Bright and dazzling at night
Sep 2021 • Friends
Wandered up this world-famous street which was possibly busier than usual due to road closures for the Wrapped Arc. Definitely felt quite Parisian being able to stroll past stores like Dior and other high end names. On a Saturday nighttime it was packed with shoppers and people looking for a good eatery. Quite the hustle and bustle of a capital high street!

Famous Avenue with High End Stores
Sep 2021 • Friends
This is a massive shopping avenue that starts at the Arc de Trioumphe. Wide streets and sidewalks lined with trees and high end stores on both sides. Very commercial and touristy. We shopped at a couple of the stores and enjoyed the atmosphere. Must see when in France.

Big Avenue
Jul 2021
It's a big wide street that leads up to the Arc. Place for parades and celebrations. Used to be a place for theaters, cafes and lots of fun. Now it is rather dead, bad shopping, everything too expensive and way too much traffic. At least the car parks are gone.

Really pretty
Aug 2021
One of those things that's a must see for the tourist. Lots of trees, not too crowded - August is apparently the month the Parisians go on vacation + Covid is a concern.

My god the Champs Elysee has gone down hill
Aug 2021 • Family
This really is a tawdry experience during the tourist season. There is just an endless stream of people walking up and down it, and it was very disappointing to see a McDonald's serving its crap food.

It has the usual high end fashion boutiques but other cities have not sold out to commercialisation.

We had a coffee at one of the cafes and it had no special atmosphere at all.

Stroll the Champs-Elysees
Aug 2021 • Family
Iconic street. It has become very “Americanized”. Still it’s worth a visit. There is a lot of history on this road. There are some beautiful flagship stores.

Five Guys, Nike, etc. It's not what it used to be. So many better places to go in Paris. My daughter couldn't believe it. She was happy I had warned her it wasn't anything special.

Hell of a drive
Jul 2021
We were driving along the Champs-Elysees on a Friday late afternoon in late July by car after walking more than 20 kilometers. Well, the traffic was insane and it was a hell of drive. Drivers were really crazy.
Anyway, Champs-Elysees has a kind of charm, it is a must to see while staying in Paris.
