Last month me and my other half took a long weekend to Paris and we stumbled across this little great pub. My other half is a fussy eater so it was always going to be difficult to find a place that she would be happy to eat in, and The Bombardier was perfect. They offered great British pub food and... Though I think there's been a change in management. The Bombardier was a tremendous pub which as a Scotsman says alot. Good beer, good atmosphere and, best of all good food. But that was when I lived in Paris 6 years ago. First trip back and it's lost the panache it once had. Decent enough beer still served but the... More

Found myself sat there watching Andy Murray winning Wimbledon on the TV with a pint of Bombardier in my hand. My favourite beer from my home Brewery, Charley Wells. Very friendly, good beers and excellent atmosphere.

Decent pub, but why would you allegedly stream the football with a terrible connection! Went for the England game against Slovakia, two hours before kick off, only to attempt to watch a streamed game! Surely they could afford a subscription! Left after 10 minutes of the game. Good chicken fingers though!

This a great place to get a pint. It is relaxed and fairly priced and the food is good if your decide to stay and eat. They have an array of draught beers as well as all the usual offerings. We always make a bee line for it. An English friendly pub in France.

We went in here early may to watch City v Arsenal and had a few of the john bulls for 5 Euro, its a nice bar worth the visit, but i dont think they are the man city supporters club anymore unfortunately. They do nice meals and i would recommend. Its to the left of the church easy to miss.

I have frequented this pub for many years and had a lot of good time there. The charm and attraction of this old fashioned and traditional style pub is still on. Excellent assortment of beer and other drinks, typical pub snacks and food, great atmosphere and yes flat screen TVs for watching the numerous sport event. Looking forward to visit... More

Found this place on accident as we were on the way to Luxembourg Gardens. This pub had a large selection of tap beers and they recommended a great beer for my wife. We were in search of food so stayed only for one drink. But the staff made a huge impression on us. We came back later the next day... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
