I went here for sunset, during my 1st ever trip to Paris. I got there about an hour before sunset and found a spot and got some great images. It's definitely worth the price.

Place is dirty and run down. Staff is extremely rude. Not kidding. Do not spend any time or money coming here.

Our visit began by our being repeatedly bumped back in line by tour guides with groups because only one cashier was open. Your visit to the tower should be planned by time and weather. A cloudy day or early afternoon would be best. Our views...More

360 degree views of the beautiful city of Paris. We paid €17 on the day so maybe go for the €15 online offers if you're definitely going. No queue & swift entry, we got there about 10.30am on a Saturday. Beware that champagne not served...More

In contrast to the many positive reviews on this site, our impression was that of an overpriced tourist trap. The "fine dining" area on the 56th floor is a cafeteria-like snack bar. The observation deck on the 59th is a windy open area not unlike...More

We booked online which was really easy. We turned up and there were no queues, went straight up to 56th floor. The views were fabulous and it's well worth the money. I got an email earlier asking for feedback and found out about several other...More

Tour Montparnasse is awesome , the view is stunning and worth a look. Adult price is 17 Euro and for that you just get the view :-( It's very touristy-money orientated there and on every step they want you to spend, take pictures and pay,...More

We had no idea what to expect as booked this as part of a package. To say we were all surprised is an understatement. There were no queues, the staff were excellent and very, very friendly. We quickly passed security (don't put money through the...More

A really nice view over Paris. Much nicer than the view from Eiffeltower because here you can see the Eiffeltower.

I pre-booked having seen this on travel man on channel 4. Although I had been to Paris before and been up the Eiffel Tower, thus was meant to be a batter view as you can see the Paris skyline with the Eiffel Tower in it....More

Dear Julia G, We would like to thank for your visit. Too bad you got bad weather... Maybe next time you’ ll have a sunny week 😊 Also, thanks for your feedbacks that we take into account. See you soon, The Montparnasse Tower Observation Deck.

The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the
landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that
goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas,
brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and
parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away
from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and
historical monuments and treasures. In between lie

Yes, there is a security check of much the same sort as museums etc in Paris. No-one showed any interest in whether we had food (and i always carry some water with me). There were several visitors with those small-medium... More

I bought mine in the lobby of the tower and went straight up. There was a short queue but I assume there could be a longer wait at the height of the tourist season.
I am planning on visiting Paris in late August and photography is my passion. What is a good time to arrive, so that I can possibly score one of the slots in the glass for a sunset picture. I don't like being pushy nor having to ask others to share their spot, because I don't want to distract them. I'd rather get there early enough to catch a spot and then share it with other regular tourists like myself. This is a must picture for me on my trip and I don't want get to the top and find that I can only take the picture with the glass.

I don't expect you should have a problem. The gaps and slots in the glass can accomodate about a hundred people at a time, so I think towards the sunset will be good for 20 or 50 people at a time too. Unless you get all... More
