I am always amazed by the French fresh food markets and the Bastille Market is no exception. Just keep an eye on your belongings - many pickpockets around. I was walking around taking photos and obviously being distracted. Had someone trying to get into my...More

This market is simply amazing. We visited early on a Sunday morning with a view of buying food for Sunday lunch and dinner. We also arrive without having had breakfast and that way we can snack on the foods on the way around. The range...More

Easy to get to - on the Bastille Metro stop. A market selling a wide variety of food, cooked and raw. We had lunch there - paella, gateau, cheeses and crepes. Market also has clothes but quality is not great and expensive. Takes about an...More

We came to the market on a sunday afternoon. Large variety of stalls, fish, cold cuts, cheeses. Recommend to taste the oysters. Prices are reasonable and one could find little presents, food for a midday picnic. Easy to get to (Metro station Bastille).

This is one of my must-see visits in Paris. It's always enjoyable and enlightening to talk with the vendors that display their products there. The variety of products in display is amazing, and includes some of the best-looking vegetables in the country. The ambience is...More

Have been twice now and there is a great range of fruit and vegetables, heaps of cheeses, fresh seafood, meat, bakery goods, flowers and some clothes etc. A must do if you are in the area on a Sunday.

We read a lot about this market and came on a beautiful Sunday in Paris. There are a ton of vendors selling meats, fish, cheese wines, and all sorts of goodies to eat. We stopped at one of the oyster vendors and had a dozen...More

Visited on a Sunday around 11am and it was packed. Loads of vegetables, fresh seafood, and meats. A few vendors were selling jewelry, clothing, and misc. Items. We browsed and ate and browsed some more. Spent about 2 1/2 to 3 hours just looking. Highly...More

Bastille / Oberkampf
Bastille and Oberkampf are lively parts of town made
for entertainment. During the day rows of unassuming
bars welcome customers for a bite or a drink, but it’s
at night this area really comes to life. Students and
young professionals fill the busy bars around Bastille
and Oberkampf. At Place de la Bastille, crowds flock
to the Opéra Bastille in the evening and groups wait
for coveted tickets during the day. Towards

Bastille market is... a market. You can buy fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish and different kinds of meats. You can purchase bread or sample various kitchens. If you're looking for cheap make-up, look elsewhere.
