We were on our way to Le Centre Pompidou, when I looked at my map and said we have to go right as soon as we can. The next turn would have been a longer walk away when I saw a small tunnel and at...More

We found this nice church by coincidence. Because it was raining we looked for some place to stand under and attracted by the artwork we entered the building. We were quite impressed how beautiful this church is inside. On the right-hand side is a nice...More

Quiet and peaceful, the church is beautiful and undergoing some renovations. If you're in the area, worth a stop for the art and architecture.

I stumbled upon this church as it is in a side street very near the Pompidou Centre. OK, it is secondary attraction in Paris, but well worth a visit if you're passing. This summer (2016) is doing free classical music concerts on certain evenings.

I had read about the historic Eglise St. Merri, of Gothic architecture and with one of the oldest church bells in Paris (1331). Built in 1520 - 1612 with wonderful church acoustics, St.-Merri possesses a beautifully sounding organ that had been rebuilt by noted Francois...More

Sorry for the late post. I visited July 2014. It's a very old gothic church which is under renovations. It looks like many of the old churches in Paris. The organ is large and magnificent. My highlight of my visit was sewing a small patch...More

I had the honour of performing a concert in this beautiful church in Paris. They have an active concert programme with free (donations only) events on a Wednesday and a Saturday. It has a wonderful acoustic and I would recommend it to any performer. From...More
