Neighbourhood: Canal Saint-Martin
The tree-lined Canal Saint-Martin is the focal point of one of the most romantic and hip areas of Paris. Watch boats travel along the canal while lovers and friends take in the atmosphere from the banks or the bridges. Evenings see hoards fill the embankments to drink wine and enjoy good company. The colder days lead people to hipster bars, cozy restaurants, and concert spaces. Those who are more adventurous may explore hidden gems down nearby streets, from local bars to futuristic architecture. With its enriching mix of people of all ages and backgrounds, this neighbourhood has a dynamic, inspiring vibe.

Had the best lunch today at Paname. It’s a bit of cute hidden art café with a really chill terrace and overall good vibe. The service was perfect and the lunch menu was mouthwatering. Great wine-list. Such a good find.
Also apparently this place turns into a comedy club at night which sounds really cool.

Went there with friends Saturday night.
Misunderstanding first at the dinner reservation, which results of the hostess telling us to wait 20 minutes...which were actually 40! First negative point.
Second, our order was slow and incomplete. As a vegetarian I only had 1 choice out of the whole menu but, OK.
Third, the quantity is ridiculous...like really really small. 10 euros for a starter and 28 for a main dish...horrible quality plus small size= NOT WORTH THE PRICE!
Fourth, our order incomplete we received the check...surprise, the dish had been included! So again, we had to wait for the waiter to change the total price.
Best of this place: the stand up comedy, free tap water served, nice staff in general, super decoration.
Worst: Only one toilet for all, you have to pay 5euros min for a drink to go to the show, and then a minimum of 10 euros after the show.. So 15EUROS total for the whole...but they sell it as a "free" comedy show. Whatever. Food is not worth the price.

First of all, your reservation wasn't on our list. Saturday night you can reserve at 19H30 or 21H30. If you arrive between this two hours, you won't have a table.
Second, we only have one choice for the vegetarian. Our menu is online you can know it before. We are not a vegetarian restaurant.
Third, people use to said that we have large dish. The most expansive main dish is "Faux Filet Salers, huile de truffe et parmesan" = Salers rib eye, truffle oil and Parmesan cheese for 26€.
Fourth, we are sorry for the waiter mistake.
And for the worst, we can only have one toilet for all due to the handicapped legislation, and We never said that it was a free comedy show ! The drinks or the meal give you the possibility to access to our Comedy Club. That's it. You are free to let what you want at the end to the artists.
Anyway, people use to pass a good time with us, we are sorry that you had a bad experience.

There are two comedies you have to experience while in Paris if you're English speaking. I've been going here for years.
This is a variety show held in the basement of this classic cafe.
Funny has hell! And if you get to see Robert Heun or Paul Taylor in action ...
Only concern might be claustrophobia. The performance room is small but quaint.
Book this and also go to

I went to this café to see the stand up from the Frenchfriedcomedy on a tuesday night as the majority of the customers present at this time. The show is free but you have to order a drink at least 5€. My friends and I all took a hot chocolate (5€), it is worth mentionning that it was made with real chocolate and tasted like it. But you can also take cocktails ranging from 8-12€. Overall it was a good experience. A tiny thing to adress : one of the waiter seemed really stressed out and was rushing some people into seating and ordering which can seem a bit rough to foreigners (aka people that are familiar with the french legendary customer service skills...)

Last night some expat friebds and I went to have a cocktail and for the price of the cocktail at around 5€ we went down stairs where a crowd of expats ,tourists & french were entertained by a group of comediens called French Fries from different countries joking about their settling down experiences in Paris😂We really had a great time and the cocktails were served by a friendly bunch of waiters who welcomed us very warmly.I would strongly recommend this Café to all foreigners settling down in Paris....there's lots to laugh about😂

Well, I'm not really sure what this place was supposed to be. Maybe I went at the wrong time of the day. I went during the day time hours and there was no on in there except the employees. I looked at the drink menu and didn't see any cocktails that peaked my interest so I ordered a glass of wine. The cafe itself isn't much to write home about. It's an average place and there are some pieces of art up here and there. There was a DJ booth as well. So I'm guessing, night time and probably the weekends is when this place is hopping.

We went to Le Paname on a tuesday night to see english stand up. To get to the show you must order a drink for at least 5€ (everyting is above 5€) and at the end of the show they ask for a tip. The show was really funny so we were very glad to had come. Would definitely recommend! When you are there do not miss the nearby Canal St Martin! It is wonderful.

Merci.
Cordialement.
