Management of castle is extremely poor. There are queues everywhere. We arrived at 9 am on Sunday to the entrance. There was a queue to enter the gates for about 20 minutes, so relatively quick. Then a Queue for about 1 hour to buy tickets,...More

Versailles is stunning - I already want to go back again to see the bits we didn't have time for. One thing to be aware of though - the queue to get in was horrendous. I don't understand why there isn't a better system to...More

This place is easy to go, just take RER (you can use Navigo pass for zone 1-5). i read comment online to recommend me to reserve the ticket online before going, but I realize you can actually go buy the tickets while your friends or...More

Palace: long lines, extremely rude staff. Once you get in, you see a lot of wealth arranged in a tasteless manner. The place inside was so packed that it was hard to breathe, let alone see anything. It was also as hot as a sauna,...More

This is our favourite memory of France. This palace is absolutely beautiful. The architecture and art stand above the rest of its class. Please visit if you have some time!

As others have said, prepare for 1 1/2 - 2 hours of being in line with a pre-purchased ticket to get to the x ray machine for entry.. Today there was only one machine working until about 12:30 when they opened up a second machine.Hard...More

The queue for Versailles is extreme and I have never experienced anything like it. Don't get me wrong those gardens make it worth the wait... but don't forget to buy tickets online to avoid at least part of the queue.

Its really very beautiful place to visit, one of the most beautiful thing to see. But Management is horrible, there are no fast track lines or priority lines for guest with kids or with elders, that makes it difficult

I am certainly glad to have visited once in my life time but it was packed . It was august and a religious holiday so other tourist sites were closed and perhaps that caused it to be so busy. It was uncomfortably crowded. We had...More

Sorry I can't help. We arrived early and were stunned by the crowds wishing to go into the buildings, hence just doing the gardens. That said, they were pretty awesome.

You can just show up. The lines are worse in the morning, so I'd wait until after lunch to do the main palais.
