A good place to visit for a breath of fresh air and to relax after sightseeing. Basic but adequate facilities such as toilets (no paper!) and snack bars, lots to do for children. Good walks around the lake, safe swimming areas.

Great place to visit on a hot summers day. Safe swimming, plenty of space for families and the waterpark is great for children who can swim.

Situated about a 10 min drive from Carcassonne, this man-made lake and surrounding park area is great for families or couples. Unlike so many places, parking is FREE, although it does apparently get very busy during summer weekends. There is a relatively gentle 3 mile...More

We took a bus trip to this lovely lake. Very empty in May but we are told very busy in the summer months. You can walk around the lake - it will take at least an 1.5hrs

We decided to walk to Lac Cavayere which was a real trek and when we got there we found out that we could have got a bus!! We got the bus back. I think it is Line 1.
