It's nice to walk from Polygone down to the fountains on a nice evening after dinner. Lots of bistros and interseting architecture.

Esplanade de l'Europe is a huge amphitheatre of buildings located just before the river Lez. If you are coming from Antigone, simply keep walking on the main street crossing the area, and you'll find yourself into the amphitheatre and in front of a good copy...More

This was our meeting place for the kick off to our wine tour. We got here early in case there was anything worth seeing. Wow. What a surprise. Along the banks of the river, it is a very picturesque setting with beautiful water fountains and...More

The whole city section and the new city center of Montpellier is a very interesting architectural creation, worthwhile visiting. The buildings, the garden that surround them are creating a special feeling.

New but seems older. Great for strolling around & so accessible by tram. Airport bus just around the corner. Great shelter throughout

Esplanade d'Eutope is a part of Antigone district. History of Antigone started in1978 when the city acquired land belonging to the military. New district was designed by well known architect. The outcome is amazing. Must visit in Montpellier.

If you are feeling a bit oppressed by the city, take a 15 minute walk from the Place de Comedie through the Antigone area to get to the river. A few restaurants and bars, but mostly relaxing by the river.
