This is a lovely part of Montpellier and a great contrast to the old town. A few restaurants and bars. Quiet with lots of space and walks by the canal.

This is a pedestrian area with some cafes and a few shops, it is generally quiet and peaceful and pleasant to stroll through. Some aspects of it look quite deserted and neglected and the stone finish of the buildings is starting to get grimy and in a state of disrepair. It reminded me of a lighter bigger tricorn, for those... More

We fund this area to be a nice place for a stroll and get out of the traffic. The park area with the pond is very nice also.

Although I am a fan of architecture this was disappointing, as it was poorly finished and steps were showing signs of poor workmanship . This structure is now home to locals as they are all flats. A bit boring if I'm honest

It's a nice open space that you don't have to miss. There is also a fountain that you can see. On a sunny day it looks amazing.

This area of the city adjacent to La Place de la Comedie and the old centre of town is a relaxing, peaceful and parklike pedestrian area with several restaurants. There is a great children's park (two, actually if you go around the pond) and many benches to rest on. You can access the old centre of the city via a... More

Best promenade i've ever seen. As walking on the promenade, you pass lots of beautiful fountains and modern architecture. It ends on square of Europe, where the australian bar serves the best cocktails and piazza papa the best pizzas!

Part of this area, known simply as L'Esplanade, is a nice park with an excellent children's playground. Has a variety of play equipment and is fenced - there is also a shop serving good coffee just across from the playground. Good for some time out with the kids

This is a great scenic walk, particularly if you begin at the Polygone shopping centre through Antigone, passing by leafy trees, restaurants offering everything from cheapy fast food to more upmarket fish and wine, and admiring the general hustle and bustle of the city. The Place de l'Europe (named on my map as such), or Esplanade d'Europe, is a lovely... More
