Very nice view

I think it worth the trek to go up. You can have a nice view of the city and the park is beautiful. Make sure it's included in with you arena ticket.

A long uphill walk to get to the tower but well worth the effort & the parks it is situated in are lovely. You can see the sights of the city from the top including the arena.

Perhaps naively, we weren't prepared for the very considerable uphill walk to this place from the parking garage at Les Halles where we left our car. The tower itself is no big deal; the view from the top may be, but we didn't have enough energy left to find out. A saving grace was the adjacent gardens, which we walked... More

Well worth the effort to first climb the hill and then to climb numerous stairs to the top of the tower. Fantastic views over Nimes from the top. There is a limited number of people allowed to climb to the top at any one time due to the small viewing platform, so be prepared to wait.

Walked up quite a hill to get here...great view of the city from the top. Beware quite a steep walk to get there and quite a lot of steps once inside. The materials inside explaining about its history and background were very hard to follow. Worth the walk on a sunny day.

This 18 metre high tower was a key component of the pre-Roman ramparts, which were reinforced in 15 BC by the Romans to become the longest city walls in Gaul at almost 7km. It stands on the highest point of the city, the Mont Cavalier and is accessible via theJardin de la Fontaine. The viewing platform 140 steps up provides... More

Along with the remarkable construction heritage dating back to Roman times, the view from the top is superb. Warning, the steps are quite steep but take your time because the climb to the top is worth it.

Only worth it if you really want to see the view over Nimes. The gardens are OK but not so special. I didn't see a cafe there either.

Just get to the top. Trust me. The city sprawls out before you and the view goes on for miles. There is a helpful display at the top which explains the significant sites before you.
