An hour and a half trip starting at 9pm well worth the money from the campsite at L'Hopital to the town with a 30 min stop to take photos. Then all the way up a road opposite the city for amazing views of the lights at night then back to the campsite. Well worth 5€ each.

We caught the train because we thought it would save us time getting to the village. However in hindsight it would have been better to get the exercise and walk to the top. Once you wait for the train to arrive it's hardly a long trip to the top. You should also be aware that it only takes you to... More

If you are totally disabled to walk. Or if you're travelling with children. It would be nice if they use an electric car and not one with diesel exhaust!

Train looked a good idea to save walking up the hill. Expensive for a few minutes ride. The problem is if it's busy and you want to go back down it ends up train rage, with getting on both sides at the same time and pushing and everyone getting aggressive and wound up. Typical French the driver just sits there... More

Park at the foot of the village and catch the train, just makes life easy, and gets you to the heart of Rocamadour stress free, and makes you feel like a little kid again

We drove to Rocamadour via the Alzou Valley winding through green fields forests and small villages but nothing prepares you for the view ahead - the township appearing in the cliffs above the river, rising up to the castle on the rock. The train trip was good and takes one from the lower car park to the top of the... More

Train runs on time... Nothing spectacular, just a cute little "faux train" .... a nice service for tourists.

Great value for money, would recommend if you're travelling with little kids as its a steep walk to the top of the cliff. Definitely worth the €3.
