The natural history museum of Lille has been open for more than 150 years. Located since the beginning of the 20th century at number 19, rue de Bruxelles, in the historical university district, it is today the only natural history museum of the whole Nord - Pas de Calais region.

Don't expect huge skeletons of dinosaurs. Do expect to see a huge variety of stuffed birds plus other animals. Very twee and interesting but no English.

This museum offers a variety of stuffed animals and informations to them, even though many of them are only held in french. Perfect to visit on a rainy day. I enjoyed the visit.
