We came here to have a look where our uncle KENNY landed ! It is a beautiful beach and was very interesting we put a stone on the memorial in memory of him x it is worth a visit

As part of are time around the beaches we also sought out the statue of Bill. What a story and bravery, a man leading the army playing his pipes whilst shoots flew around him.

of course it has changed a lot since 1944.I rode my Bicycle from Sword beach to Omaha beach stopping along the way at various monuments and german defences.personal favourite at Sword beach is Piper Bill Millins statue .
