We were very impressed by the displays and information available at this Museum. Having a father and uncles who were in Normandy during WW2 made this visit extra special and enhanced our understanding of what all of the soldiers went through. The tanks, armored vehicles, weapons, uniforms, film footage and static displays really paint a clear picture. Emotional and educational,... More

The museum and the people of France exhibited thankfulness for the rescue by Americans and other allied forces. The museum had a lot of equipment and photos on display. We watched two films with actual footage of WW2 activities. The museum gives a strong emotional understanding of the sacrifices made by thousands of soldiers.

This museum is easy to get to once in town. With something for everyone's interest level. I particularly enjoyed the film.

The museum really gives the feel of the events with a range of exhibits on offer. Even the 2-year old was captivated.

The museum is well done with individual invasion stories presented and a very worthwhile short video. There a long video that most tourists avoided the day we spent there. If you have the time it is very well done. We found it was important to have a guide who could give the 'story behind the stories', sometimes in horrific detail.

The museum houses a wonderful collection of artifacts from WWII and especially the Normandy campaign. The short film is especially interesting, as it provides an excellent overview of the events leading up to D-Day. Everything is well presented and described, and I think would be intriguing even for kids who aren't usually fans of museums :-)

Unfortunately we snuck a visit to this museum just before we had to catch the train back to Paris. We didn't leave ourselves enough time to fully enjoy it but what we did see was excellent! Of the many museums in the Normandy coast area, this appeared to be one of the better ones. Would definitely recommend! Don't forget to... More

Thus museum sirs across the street from the British Cemetery in Bayeux. The museum is great and gives lots of insight in to the planning that occurred after the invasion.

It really helps a person to understand what the soldiers had to go through when you visit a museum like this. A very moving experience and so pleased we visited.

Very beautiful place. Definitely recommend if you are close by to visit. The memorial and graves are very gracefully done.
