Upscale and quaint beach resort town. Weather to cold for a swim in first half of July. Come here to sit and relax. It is a drive to any of the French history sites.

Awful food ! Fish was raw and stale ! Never had such terrible food before ! I would rate McDonald’s fries much better. Now the gallettes-no words to describe how horrible the taste was. Just not edible and very bitter

Wonderful wide expanse of golden sandy beach. Tide was out quite far. Revealing lots of little crabs and shells. Very family friendly.

The Deauville beach is quite famous as it had been the scenery of a french movie in the 70ies and is the closest beach for the Parisians. We arrived there on a Tuesday afternoon and as the weather was nice but not great (pretty windy)...More

Not unless you want to rent a parasol or a lounge chair. If you just want to walk on the beach it’s free.

I think in Deauville if you don't have a dog you feel out of place as everyone seems to have one, and although I don't know much about what the rules are, I am pretty certain it is no problem to have your dog with you... More
