In Le Havre for the day our shuttle bus dropped us at The Gardens of the Hotel-de-Vil. The gardens are interesting and should be popular in summer. What was quite a surprise were the wonderful fountains - all shapes, sizes, and angles giving a magnificent display and all free. It was sunny but quite cool and windy so not the... More

This church looked tiny from the front but it was huge. I think it is the oldest church I have ever been in and was certainly worth the walk

Visited while on a P and O cruise . Very interesting to see the damage done during the second world war, and compare to how this cathedral looks now .Le Harve has sustained damage over the years and is now what I would call a city of concrete.

For a cathedral it maybe doesn't look so imposing but is beautiful in its own way. It has some lovely statues (my fave being Joan of arc) and 2 very intricate stained glass windows. They are both slightly obscured by some sort of metal structure (generators or some such) which made it difficult to get a good photo. A calm... More

It's an old church that a few decades got turned into a cathedral. But it has badly suffered over the centuries, and even worse put back together. Many mistakes were made, and it shows. The outside is pretty interesting, but the only real point of interest is the beautiful main organ, a gift by the former Prime Minister of France,... More

We were in Le Havre on a very wet August afternoon & it was the only good thing on a pretty horrid afternoon. The church is so impressive that it tempted us to get wet crossing the road to visit it! The exterior is impressive & the interior interesting. It is well worth buying the small English guide which tells... More

A very old cathedral but well worth a visit. Looks a bit run down especially from the outside but the inside is well maintained.

It was amazing to visit Notre-Dame again, daytime and nighttime visit is experience on its own. And then cross the bridge and sit on bench of Shakespeare and co. book store and over looking Notre-Dame is simply amazing.
