This alley features some of Rouen's famous half-timbered design buildings from the 15th century. There are some cafes and artisan shops here as well for you to explore. The facades are charming and its history is interesting. Visit this area before 10am if you want...More

We sat at a cafe across the road from here and studied the buildings. Go in the morning between 0730 and 0900 for good photographs

Probably the most famous street in Rouen, there are little shops and cafes plus the Hotel de la Cathedrale. Famous for the faience shops

We loved the facades and history here. If possible, get a guide for the day to enrich your experience.

This is a wonderful place to stroll and enjoy all of the various forms of architecture, from fairly modern to that which has withstood the test of time and war. It is also a prime shopping venue.

It's a street with lots of nice buildings, most of which lean into the centre of the alley. Make it part of your walking tour and take in the shops, bars etc.
