If you follow the green tourist line from the mechanical museum it is an interesting half hour walk along the river bank. Excellent kitchen cafe and children's play part. Bars and restaurants within the old banana warehouse. Sculptures and views of the city of Nante....More

Very imposing structures that hark back to the original industrial use of the area. If your're interested in industrial or shipping/maritime history, then this area is worth having a look around. It's been regenerated as a recreational area, but there is still lots of remnants...More

There are 2 big cranes here, one grey, one yellow. Worth a look if you're interested in shipyard history. Currently, there's lots of modern cranes nearby for contrast ...

Huge and yellow. It is a real landmark. Along the green line between the Machine and the Banana Hangar.

The two historic shipyard cranes constructed in the late 1960ies contribute substantially to the atmosphere of the recreational and cultural amenities established on the ancient shipyard on the Loire island, even though you can only marvel at them from the ground. Le Parc des Chantiers...More

The giant del'Ile de Nantes is a port crane and it was necessary to unload ships since 1960, and has since been clasificsato "historical sight."
