One of the best markets in Provence

We love this Apt market and visit whenever we are in the area. The only problem is parking, it is becoming worse and unless you show up very early it is impossible to park. Other... read more

We love this Apt market and visit whenever we are in the area. The only problem is parking, it is becoming worse and unless you show up very early it is impossible to park. Other than that, superb market. Don't miss the Arab side of the market which is generally much cheaper for seasonal fruits and veg, and where you... More

It's a nice stroll to take on saturday mornings, to buy local cheese or a few veggies. Sadly, as usual in these kind of markets, there are a lot of fraud who will say they produce what they sell when they do not. We had one bad encounter with a beekeeper selling honey "from the EU" (meaning not from his... More

In fact, I hesitated to write a good review about this market, because it is one of the places I would like to keep to myself and not share with many tourists. But fact is, this market is in the first place for locals to buy their fresh vegetables, fruit, fish, cheese, olives and whatever one needs while staying in... More

Certainly the biggest market we visited and nice to walk around. Easy to miss parts of it as splits off down side streets into other different squares. Make sure you get there early as the traffic builds up. Easier to get parked, have a coffee and then walk around. Gets busy very quickly.

Fabulous market with only a few of the same things we saw in Lourmarin. We all walked away with huge smiles and lots of bags with super deals on unique items. Lots of great food also. Can't wait to go back...didn't have time to go through the whole market which covers most of the old downtown. ;-)

I just liked the town of Apt. We wandered up and down streets. The Saturday Market brought in lots and lots of people, both selling and buying.

Nice market, with plenty of produce, and with lots of other things: soap, lavender oil, wonderful handmade bags of lavender, lavender honey, olives, cheese, hummus (chickpea paste, or pois-chiche, locally) and so on, for all tastes. We enjoyed watching, smelling, hearing, tasting, touching... All our senses were satisfied...

A great market with fantastic fruit and vegetables, also clothes, bags and household stuff, a bit of everything for everyone. Parking can be a problem you need to get there early.

Lots of lovely fresh local produce, very colourful. Friendly stall holders. Great for sitting outside a cafe people watching.

This was the first market we visited in Provence so we did not know how great it was at the time. Looking back, it was one of our very favorites. There is something for everyone from food to clothing and toiletries. What we particularly liked is that it is set up in the center of town. That means there is... More
