We caught the local bus that took us to the park and saw hundreds of pink flamingoes. It is the most beautiful setting with scores of different herons and bird species. If you are in the area , don't miss the opportunity for a visit.

Not the best time to visit. Little bird or other wildlife around. We took a 4x4 Safari and our guide did her very best with what was available. Much better to visit in Spring/Autumn when the birds are about

If it's wildlife and birds you want, don't go in August during a heatwave. We did arrive early in the hope of seeing some bird activity and while we did see a few flamingos and perhaps half a dozen other wetland birds overall it was...More

The Camargue is a great place for nature lovers, equestrians and photographers. Large expanse of flat, often wetlands, with hosts of flamingos and the famous white horses

We decided to drive back to our home in Piedmontese (Italy) from a holiday in Carcassone (France) via the Camargue and it was definitely worth the detour. Beautiful salt marshes, plenty of birds and wild horses to see without going too far out of your...More

Very nice nature park and a must to see if you are in the region. We visited salt bassins and it's really interesting. In addition you can find a lot of animals (e.g. Flamingos)

I come to France for the culture, the history, the food, and the beautiful old towns. If I spend precious time for nature, it better be breathtaking. The Calanques were worth it, but the Camargue wasn't. It's a pretty place, but unless you're willing to...More

We booked our tour of the Camargue through the Arles, FR Tourist Office. This is key. Wherever you're flying into check out that city's Office of Tourisme website. Anywhere remotely near the Camargue will have links to... More
