Worth it for the view

Probably some of the best views you can get around Saint Laurent du Var. the Chateau also has an interesting exhibition of artwork and artifacts from the old days.

Open from 10-12 and the 2-5 (except Tuesdays) and costing €4, this small museum features an eclectic display of paintings of past local celeb Suzy Solidor, olive oil jars and presses, and a very nice painted ceiling. Not enough info available in some areas, but amazing 360 degree views from up on the roof. Great space that could be better... More

Lempicka's portrait of Suzy Solidor alone deserves a visit. Beautiful location and very interesting and peculiar art collection.

The medieval village surrounding the Chateau was a wonderful area to explore. We found each new street brought a new discovery that was truly a delight!

The Chateau is in good condition and quite attractive. It contains a nice collection of modern art as well as some interesting olive press artifacts. The view from the tower is stunning - full 360 degrees from Nice to Antibes and the mountains.

We visited this village after the Renoir Museum. It was about a 20 min walk, half of it up hill. There is a small bus for those who don't want to get thigh burn. Cagne Sur Mer is only a 20 min train rude from Nice and can be done in 2/3rds of a tour day. The castle is about... More

Having been before we knew that this would be good and the new exhibition on display was just as good as previous ones. The chateau is an amazing setting, full of character and atmosphere - and if you have the head for it, the views from the tower are amazing. Reasonably priced at 7 euros for adults this is well... We have been there in the past, but this time for the first time with 2 kids(7 and 3 years old). We all enjoyed the visit, although it required a bit of walk uphill. The view from the tower is amazing and the castle itself is small but very well maintained. The ticket is cheap and kids don't pay. I... More

Set high on a hill. There is usually a shuttle bus to take you there. Did not run as there was a strike so we had a very challenging walk. Once there you can see an exhibition of Suzy Salidor paintings. Walking up the stairs you get to the roof. The view is breath taking.
