As I walked around the city I wondered why people were carrying padded beach matts and when I got to the beach I discovered why! The beach is small stones which people are lying on enjoying the sun which I found amusing coming from Australia...More

We visited this beach during the peak season and had sun basking day. The kids were happy to play in water but were complaining of sea pebbles which we found were uncomfortable.

It was just lovely, we spent a great day at the beach enjoying the sun and the fresh water of the sea. La promenade is very well kept, great for jogging or just walking around

Wow, this is the beach boulevard of Nice. It is huge, kilometres and kilometres. A fantastic place to bicycle, walk or jog. We loved it. Sit down in any of the many benches and watch people pass by, great entertainment!

Fabulous long stretches of beach to choose from but very hard to park if you have never been before. Multi stories are the best choice. Lots of beach front restaurants and bars. Stoney beach with lifeguards and the beautiful crystal blue Mediterranean Sea to swim...More

A stroll from the Old Port to the Negresco along the Promenade des Anglais never ceases to please. Wonderful wide promenade that caters for all with blue skies and shimmering sea.

We had a quiet early walk along the promenade. There were quite a few swimmers and also joggers. The bollards now in place have been carefully and tastefully designed, so do not intrude on the beauty yet increase the safety.

Walked along every day. Lovely views of Nice. Beach just pebbles but water is great for a swim and quite warm. Plenty of restaurants and seating. A easy and flat route to navigate the city.

Dogs are allowed in any part of the beach. It's a 14 km single pebble beach, no breaks in between. So you can take your dog on the beach.
