If you can manage to walk up here, you really need to, the view alone is worth the flight from where ever you've travelled from! If you aren't great with steep walks, there is a train that will run you to the top and back for just a few Euros.

Its a fair climb up the steps to the view points, but its not a race and there are plenty of stop points. Stopping is good anyway, as you don't want to miss anything! Worth the effort so head on up. Walk over the top and view the bay/marina over the other side. Kids park at the top with climbing... More

Loved the hike up the steps and took photos along the way. Beautiful views of the city, and ocean. Just lovely!

We used the elevator (free of charge) which took us right to the top. The views over Nice and the marina are incredible. There are a couple of small cafes to get refreshments from. There is also a playground for young kids. Lots of benches to sit and relax. If you visit Nice you really must go up here.

I have been coming to Nice every summer and I always walk up here to see the outstanding views (from both sides). One place that some people don't know about is the waterfall which is particularly pleasant on a hot day (as the spray cools you down)

We walked to the top. It's a steep walk but you get some good views. The view from the top is excellent. It was November so did get dark early. We did find it hard coming down the steps in the dark as you can not see your footing.

This is the place to get those great photos of Nice. The walk up isnt as bad as it looks, just take you time it is not bad at all. Dont just stop at the first circular panoramic view location, go on up to the park area up top to get some great views of the other areas. Definitely a... More

You can't visit Nice without visiting Castle Hill. You can walk up by stairs or take an elevator but make sure you go right to the top so you can see the harbor. Walking down you get great views of the Promenade des Anglais and the beach all the way to the airport and beyond.

We visited castle hill while in Nice. Located behind Hotel Suisse where we were staying. Views were magnificent & park was very interesting. Elevator is available to get halfway & then not too many steps to climb. If elevator is not used, be prepared for a strong climb.
