A beautiful square full of tables & umbrellas and in the colder weather, outdoor heaters. Just take time to sit and watch the world go by with a coffee or a cold drink in hand. Plenty of choice for eating and not expensive for an enjoyable lunch. As with the rest of Nice, clean and tidy, no rubbish or graffiti... More

Place Garibaldi is somewhat of the beginning of the Old Town of Nice. It's interesting enough (especially the building with the painted facade), but the thing is, there's nothing much to do here - hence the three stars.

A good place to be. Place Garibaldi is one of the few spots in Nice where if the sun is out you can be in it in one of the restaurants. In the evenings if it's chilly most will have space heaters. People are there to be outside- the food is not remarkable, mostly standard fare (pasta pizza, salads, over-priced... More

A large variety of restaurants to from with varying menus. Close to the old town with its small winding streets with lots of restaurants and shops to keep with intrigued for a long time.

This is a very nice square, surrounded by yellow beautiful architecture. There are always people around and nice terraces to have a drink or a meal. Worth a visit!

I passed by this area to catch the #100 bus to go to Menton. The place itself is small, some restaurant, cafe, Ice Cream store but not much more. The yellow color building and its shutters were kind of nice but nothing else to mention other than this is just a place you " pass by" to get from one... More

Place Garibaldi is the place to be in Nice. Excellent located between the old town and the more and more trendy port area with the petit marais. A huge selection of cafés and restaurants. Nice view and sometimes shows, markets, demonstrations etc. If it wasn't for the poor french service that some if the restaurants sadly have it should have... More

We ended up here after our walk through the old town. There was an exhibition of one of the new subway trains taking place in Place Garibaldi. A nice quiet square spoilt a little bit by roadworks on some of the streets leading up to it.

Useful for local buses to Nice and Monaco, this is an area of architectural interest. It is especially beautiful at night.
