This was the most disappointing of all the museums & galleries that we have visited on this 5 week trip. Firstly the walk from the bus stop is a serious hike uphill. Then the admission price at E15 is tops + E5 to take photos...More

The museum is on a hill above Saint Paul de Vence in an oak forest. The statues and artwork outside are interesting. The traveling exhibit of Eduardo Arroyo was interesting. Some of the captions on the paintings were in English which was helpful. We aren't...More

Fondation Maeght is a little off the beaten track from St Paul de Vence but is definitely a highlight of a visit to the area - a treat for the visual senses. A bit of a hike from the bus stop if you are not...More

This is a do not miss if you are in St Paul, it is a must see for the permanent garden collection alone, and the sculptures are spectacular. There is an exhibition of Eduardo Arroya there until December 2018 which is by worth while.

Intelligently placed sculptures in landscaped gardens together with interesting pictures in a purpose designed building. A classic example of a holistic design.

Includes paintings and statuary by many famous artits such as Miro and Chigall. Some of the works are huge. Much of it goes over the heads of visitors, including myself, but it was a learning experience.

A short walk from the walls of St. Paul de Vence. It's up on a hill. Entry is 15 euros and they charge an extra 5 euros if you plan to take photographs. The building is amazing. Built by Catalan architect Sert, keeping the natural...More

I came here on the recommendation of a friend who said this museum is a must see so I had high expectations. Most of the museum was taken up by a special exhibit. Eduardo Arroyo. I hadn't heard of this artist and was pleasantly surprised....More

Being a fan of the impressionists we were terribly disappointed to find that almost all of the "permanent" exhibition had been removed for a temporary exhibit which was interesting but not satisfying. While the Fondation states that permanent pictures might be missing the temporary exhibit...More

Was it a good idea to return to Fondation Maeght after so many decades? Absolutely! Childhood memories had faded, all I remembered was the silence and beauty of the place itself, the scenery, the architecture and, of course, the art exhibition. But...it all seemed so...More

Carol, I have been to the Fondation Maeght 2 times. The first time I walked from la Colombe d'Or restaurant to the Museum. It is an uphill climb of about 1 km. The 2nd time, I did it by car, and I just followed the signs.
