This is apparently one of the easiest Calanques to access, I simply hopped on the bus in Marseille to the university campus and headed off on the trail. There's a number of routes you can take, I just went straight on down the path leading to the sea but you can head up onto the cliffs if you wish. There's... More

This was a beautiful hike with lots of nature, but not much shade. I would recommend this trail for the more experienced hikers because there are lots of off road trails that are also very steep. The scenery is great though and the beach at the end of the trail is very good too. The water was very clear and... More

The water was so nice and cold. Really refreshing after the long walk. The sight was breathtaking. Take some watershoes with you because the stones in the water did hurt my feet. And make sure to take enough water and snacks because you can not buy it over there.

Despite not great weather it was a great hike (beautiful scenery) and lovely swim. We took a taxi (Uber) to get there and the bus (21) to get back.

We took a 21 bus from Marseille town centre passed the Velodrome out to the end of the line, a journey of about a half hour, then walked into the countryside. The walk began near the university and soon entered pine woods and as we walked the terrain became more hilly with cliffs to our left where people could be... More

This is the best calanque I have seen. We took a bus to Luminy and from there walked towards the calanque. There are multiple end points for the calanque, but we took route down to have a view from the bottom of the cliff. It took us two hours to reach there from Luminy, but it was well worth. We... This is definitely a bit of a hike to get to the end but it was hands down one of my most favorite parts of my month long Europe trip. It will probably take you an hour to walk to the end/viewpoint but the whole way there is a viewpoint in my opinion. If you go to the very top... More

If you are in Marseille for few days you can get the bus to Luminy. For just a city bus ticket (n. 21 at Castellane subway station or along the Prado Avenue) you will be at the UNiversity Campus, at the start of a beautiful and great walk through the massif of the Calanques, a natural Park that is closed... We took the subway and the public bus to Luminy as suggested by previous reviewers, and then did the hike out to the Calanque du Sugiton. The bus ride was crowded and we ended up standing most of the way there and back, and the hike was quite challenging in parts (we probably went the hard way but it was... More
