We snow shoed up to the glacier, which dominates the Mont Blanc valley. The signs were really good and the round trip was about 2 hours. You get a good view from the lookout point, but are still quite a way from the start of the glacier.

The train ride was so scenic, there was quite a crowd on board but everyone got a seat, gorgeous views along the way and once at the top the vista was awesome, I didn't go down to the ice caves due to the 400 steps but MN y friends went and And they enjoyed it. Cafe was warm and inviting... More

As the chair lift was closed we drove part of the way and joined the trail. Nice steady hike up to the chalet with amazing views of the Chamonix valley and the glacier. Great photo opportunities. Well worth a visit if you enjoy hiking.

Unfortunately in October, there's no chair lift to the top. We took a trail. The trail was strenuous at some points. There's no sign, so follow the sign to the restaurant (Chalet du Glacier des Bossons). You pass chair lift station, restaurant (closed in fall), but the view point is still further up (5-10 min). You can go up to... More

We hiked to the look out to the glacier, so we did not take any kind of transportation, nor did we get up to the actual trailer. It's a good day hike that's not too strenuous - 5miles/8km. The trail was very nice in places and in places we were walking on a gravel road. We had lunch at the... More

This glacier can be seen all over Chamonix and comes down to withing probably 800 m of the town. Viewing it from up the Aiguille du Midi gives you a completely different perspective. We saw it in the middle of summer and of course the winter view would be different again.

We enjoyed a simple hike across the valley and a train ride to access this glacier. Beautiful. Recommend it highly.

After you have travelled up to the top of the mountain in a gondola you get all your gear ready then you crouch down and walk through the ice tunnel to then walk down a zigzag path with just a rope to hang on to with 1000 metre drop down one side to get where you ski down the mountain... More

We went up to the glacier using the train, we got a two day pass for the lifts which cost for one adult 78 euros. You can use the pass for two consecutive days, we also went up the midi to see Mount Blanc, worth a visit too. The train ride already gave us great views and is an experience... More

We say the glaciers using the chair lift which went slowly to give you time to take in all the views. The views are amazing and the stairlift is free with the mountain pass and only 12 euros without it so cheap. We went into the ice caves via a tram as part of the tramway tour. It was very... More
