The museum has a free entrance. It's a good place to pop into after a walk in Bastille. One of current expositions shows the life of alpine people. It's very informative and it helps to understand better the culture of the Rhone-Alpes region.

Three well thought out exhibitions. Family friendly but also enough cultural insight. English translations would have helped but then it is a local museum.

The walk up to the museum, the monastery buildings, the gardens and their collective history is all worth a visit but the exhibitions themselves make up a weird collection. Of all the museums and attractions we visited in Grenoble this is the least one I...More

A small and well organized museum. It's on-going to have an exhibition of skull-related. There are a few other themes exhibition. Could be recommended to family with children.

The top floor with mock ups of life in the Alps was excellent. The temporary exhibition on death was challenging and thoughtful.
