Visited on June 19, 2017. Very easy access by foot or by tram (get off at Notre-Dame Musée - green line). Eight Euros for an adult ticket. There was no special exhibition. So that was a little disappointing. However, the European art collection was amazing....More

Attended a conference here and only had an hour or so to visit the galleries. I focused on the 20 century galleries and was not disappointed. The audio guide was surprisingly good.

Very interesting, especially the more modern art. Got some unusual work from very well known artists. Great way to pass an afternoon.

The museum of Grenoble is one of the best French museums for paintings outside of Paris. Good collection, modern, good light, a lot of space, a "feel good" place. I find the first half of XX century collection the most interesting.

One wouldn't expect a relatively small ton to have such an extensive collection, ranging from the Italian Renaissance to the Ultra Contemporary. But the Musée de Grenoble is precisely that. Tons of important works from all sorts of periods.
