Nice area about 40 mins from Baden Baden town centre on the bus 245. Lake was frozen when we visited. Had a great piece of cake in berghotel restaurant.

We got up there at 16:30 and the weather was very rough, however the lake was frozen and gave a certain vibe that made the weather appreciate-able. The restaurant and souvenir sh op were still open and they both have the best goodies from food to handmade Black Forest watches. A must see for the Black Forest travelers.

Going to Baden-Baden black forest is really easy. We travelled from Karlsruhe to the highest point of Black Forest (Hornisgrinde) through the beautiful road of Schwarzwaldhochstraße . The route was as follows: 1. Take TagRegio RegioPlus ticket for 19.1 euros – It is valid for 7 Waben (states) and it is valid for 5 persons. 2. Take RE train from... More

Visiting mountain lakes in winter is usually reserved to skilled hikers, but Mummelsee is a place you can discover with all your family, whatever their ages are. You can walk around the lake in just 15' and visit the huge gifts shop or the restaurant by the piers, where in summer you can rent a boat and cross the lake... More

It's a lovely location to visit with friends, family or even colleagues. There are trails to hike or even just walk around the quiet lake. It has a restaurant and a small imbiss with a good selection for lunch or just snacks. Perfect for a quiet getaway from the city

A beautiful place in black forest region. A nice lake, one can go around it and experience the beauty of nature. One can also go hiking. On my recent visit, I also experienced snow. It has some restaurants and shops at the entrance. overall a very beautiful place.

Getting there was super simple - bus 245 from the Augustaplatz. Make sure you get one which says mummelsee on the front (the same number goes back the other way to the train station - bahnhof). It runs roughly hourly on sunday / public holidays. Sit on the right side of the bus for the best view! It takes about... More

A great way to spend the day especially when it's sunny. A lovely walk along the lake. It wasn't too busy on that but inside the souvenir job yes.
