Built on 1886 marked the 500th anniversary of Heidelberg University, amazing place to visit. Nice paintings on the roof.

This old university is located on a square...both the square and the university aren't big deal...Nothing impressive, no decorations, specific materials, etc...Too bad

University museum is very small, only three rooms, which cover the whole history of university, I expected a bit more, especially about giants who worked there, e.g. Max Weber, almost nothing about this famous sociologist.

For me the Heidelberg University holds a special charm, especially when you consider the 700+ year history of the University. Walking around the Old University is a great experience when you think about all the timeless knowledge accumulated there.
