The Heidelberg town hall is really basic...Nothing fancy or special. It's too bad regarding the gorgeous rest of the city!

When I got to Heidelberg, not much was open yet. But the tourist information office in the Rathaus was. I stopped in to get a better map and was met by a frosty lady who seemed to be bothered that I came in. I asked for a map and she gave me the smallest one I have ever gotten. I... More

Well worth a visit. The building was not open to the public when I visited but a wander around the outside is worth the effort. Beautiful building and surrounded by attractive structures.

It is a nice looking building in line architecturally with many buildings around the German countryside. If you are lucky enough to go inside then you can probably have a better understanding of it. It's a government building so no visitors are really able or allowed to just wander through. An interesting building in a lovely part of the town.... More

A stop for little shopping or a glass of wine or beer after completing the round of city and the university. If lucky you may watch one or the other activity going on.

The Town Hall is at the Market Square in the Old Town of Heidelberg across the Church of the Holy Ghost (Heiliggeistkirche). It also houses the Tourist Information Centre on the ground floor which is open to the public. I needed to use the bathroom when I was there and was directed by the tourist information staff to go upstair... More

Very nice old building. You cannot get inside, only if you have official thing to do. It is large and still very proportional.

Although we never ventured into this very eyecatching building we were most certainly very impressed by the sheer beauty of it. The centre piece of Marktplatz the architecture of the town hall ( Rathaus ) look's superb and it effortlessly blend's into the amazing building's in this square. Not to far from the castle ruin's and smack bang in the... More

It is rather difficult to write a review about a building which you cannot really go inside! Other than on official business, that is. We did not go and see it specifically but we passed it on some of our walks. It is a very impressive building indeed and certainly very attractive. One reviewer says do not waste your time... More
