Unfortunately it just started raining as we got to the top, but the views were spectacular. The first section is in a modern funicular, but the last section up to the top is an antique wooden funicular, over 100 years old. Its totally worth it,...More

We took this ride when visiting the Schloss. We had toured Switzerland and the funiculars there were more exciting. However, it was interesting visit and we had a superb view of the city of Heidelberg from the top.

This has two wooden coaches built in ancient style that takes passengers up to the Heidelberg castle. The combined ticket allows entry up to Konigstuhl the highest point with trekking routes. It can get cold up here so better to dress in layers. There is...More

We found it very practical hiking upwards and only taking the cable card down. The lower station often has long queues.

Very good but a bit expensive. Ammmmmmazing view of the city from the top destination of the Bergbahn. While coming down, one can enjoy the amazing city view and the natural surrounding.

I highly recommend taking the funicular to get to the castle because it is much easier than walking or driving up. We waited about 30 minutes to get on the first train to the castle. As for the second train that takes you all the...More

It is worth taking the funicular. The view from the top is nice. The way the funicular works is really impressive. If someone visits the Heidelberg Schloss you can take a combined ticket to go up to Königstuhl. The price difference is not much and...More

As I mentioned in my review, the Kornmarkt/Schloss multistory car park is just round the corner of the funicular base station. and also steps from the Marktplatz, the center of Heidelberg. A visit to the castle is... More
