A fascinating museum which shows both the misguided ideals of Nazi Germany and the horror that ensued. You can see by the views why they chose it as their holiday home.

Incredible place to visit and spend a day. The Eagle's Nest is well worth the time and don't rush it. Take your time and a picnic and spend some time on the decks that surround the main building. And the WWII history is top notch!...More

Very special historical place. Wonderful views. A little difficult with the hospitality for a mountainous region. Was hoping to get more info because of its special past. Very nice person found at the Hotel Turken

Besides the fact that you are driving through some fantastic countryside to get to - this is where Hitler lived and had his second headquarters. It is a very sobering site. But it's worth it to see it. All the exhibits are in German only...More

Truly worth the time and effort to ride to the top of this Alpian mount, where vision of the valley below takes your breath away in views, a fine food and drink restaurant, after a hike to the cross.
