Very enjoyable walk and can be done even with younger kids. It is open all year. You can get a bit wet but it is a lot of fun to walk through the small caves alongside the river. We did a hike up and around...More

I came to see Partnachklamm by recommendation of my friend. Great place, very unique. There are several hiking routes leading to Partnachklamm and around it so you may plan your walk tour depending on your physical training. Be ready for steep ascents and descents.

While visiting Garmisch-Partenkirchen we walked the Partnach River gorge or Partnachklamm. Mother Nature is amazing. The rushing waters are both thunderous and beautiful. The walk is easy, although there are some short dark, tight spots on the path, thank heavens for cellphone lighting. Also unexpectedly...More

Nice place to visit. Good for the whole family but please no buggies/strollers etc. Avoid weekends and public holidays

This natural gem is definitely worth the visit. At first we didn’t know where to park, but eventually found parking at the Olympic stadium. Unfortunately parts of the path in are currently under construction so it’s not a pretty stroll to the gorge right now....More

We caught this place at the end of the day before sunset, I can only imagine it’s beauty when the sun shines through. However, we did miss the crowds due to our late start. Take a flashlight (or use your phone as we did) and...More

A short 20-minute walk from parking at the Olympic Stadium to the small ticket office. It is €5 for adults (€4 if you have a tourist card from one of the hotels). We walked alongside the river trail which winds in and out of tunnels....More

The gorge is located about 20 minute walk from the ski stadium. 5 euros for entrance and you walk along the path next to the gorge. Really easy walk through the gorge itself. We decided to carry on past the gorge and follow the signs...More

This is the second time we’ve hiked this canyon. So beautiful and accessible. Guided 15 friends up the canyon and they all loved.

Totally worth the 5 euros. It was rainy but that made it fun! You'll get a little wet but it's worth it. Take the loop up and around so you can stop at the little Inn on the mountain for a snack or coffee,

The hike up through the Partnachklamm can easily be combined with a walk up to the top of mountain to see an alpine meadow. Alternatively, there is a gondola ride you can take to the top, then hike down from the alpine... More

The tram is accessible from near the parking lot by the stadium. While I did not use Monica's route, I can tell you that the gorge is relatively flat-people even had baby carriages (which were left outside the paid gorge... More
