The gorge was beautiful! Walking thru didn't allow for much stopping & enjoying, but it was still very much an awestruck experience!! Just keep hold of your smaller children's hand, they don't have the best safety to prevent them from falling in, especially for little...More

Breathtaking walk through a deep river gorge. No wonder it's such a tourist attraction. In June its best to go early mornings so you don't have to walk in the heat. Once you've inside the gorge it's refreshingly cool and just beautiful!

My husband, sister, and I did this hike starting at the old Olympic Ski Jump stadium. It was really neat to see the arena, and I would highly recommend parking there to start the hike. The hike to the Gorge was beautiful but super tight....More

The best thing we did in Garmisch, as the visibility was nil when we were at the peak of the Zugspitze - furious rushing water through a chasm - probably about a mile of it. It is about a thirty minute walk to get the...More

The natural beauty of partnachklam is something you must see when you visit Garmisch. It doesn't require any hightened physical condition to make it through, if you can walk 20 minutes, you can do this. At 8am they start charging 4 euro per person to...More

A truly amazing place to visit. It's like walking hand in hand with Mother Nature. The hotel on the top offers beautiful views of the region and the walk to and the alongside the gorge is one of the best walks I have had in...More

Our trek to this gorge was full of beautiful country side views. However, be prepared for a 20 minute walk to the gorge itself. There are bathrooms when you get to the gorge. Once you enter the gorge, the water is a beautiful blue. The...More

Through the gorge, takes 30 min, and it is worthwhile. It should be combined with a visit in one of the near by Hütten" for beer & lunch

We are going back ASAP! This place is amazing. Be warned you have to pay entrance fees with cash only (5 per person) and you have to park off site at the Olympic park.

There is a lift we took back down after hiking up. It goes up and down from the entrance to the gorge. The top station is from the spa hotel (can't remember the name) it's about 40 minutes hike after you walk through the... More

Not recommended - both have a lot of walking and are over an hour apart. Unless you are an alpine speed walker I don't think it would be an enjoyable day - if you had to do one or the other I would do the castles - there... More

Horse drawn carriage will get you very close to the falls. Limited Mobility? The walk into the falls is very close and cramped. Good luck.
