Lovely park

The old castle Park with lots of paths to wander amongst the trees. Nice flowerbeds bring colour to the park

Erlangen Schlossgarten is a lovely decorated and well maintained public park. If you are looking for a place for picnic, sun bath or your yoga exercise in the city center, this is a place to go.

I arrived in Erlangen right in the middle of a poetry festival which was held in this park, and there were a lot of people and book stands, and it was really nice. The park is quite small, but being situated in the city center, you can just grab a coffee or a book, and spend there some quality time.

This is a great place, comparable to the best parks of Peterhof in Russia, located just behind the University of Erlangen. Very neat, nice and quiet. A great place to lie on the grass, jogging and just walking.

Lovely place to spend time with your closest. The wonderful fountain in the center creates a welcoming feeling and gives a cool breeze on a hot day.

The Schlossgarten is a well-kept place with fountains, lawns, trees, benches, flowerbeds. It is open to the public until 8 in the evening. As the university is nearby, you will always find many students there - especially during the early summer months. But there will always be a spot for you too, to spread out your picknick blanket ;)

This is one of the beautiful places I'll remember about Erlangen. It is quaint, quiet and very conducive for relaxation. It's not a big park but I enjoyed strolling in the morning with my book at hand and picking a nice spot to read. The place is beside the botanical garden so, if your time permits, try visiting both.

The "Schlossgarten" (Castle park) of Erlangen is laid out in Baroque style, causing the park to be strictly symmetrical. More Baroque style elements can be discovered, such as the statue on the middle point of the park. But enough of the theory. In practice this park, behind the Erlangen Castle is an oasis of quietness, right in the heart of... More

I was surprised by the way this park is maintained and how people simply relax and enjoy the nature, wether they just sit on the grass, drinking beer or wine, studying or playing games. There is place for everybody, either in the sun or between the trees in the shade. The entrance is not obvious from the main street, it... More

I loved everything about this place. It's so peaceful. I could spend hours there. It's good to walk during cold times, rain, sunny weather and am sure during snow times. Mothers with kids strolls can walk there. You can have a romantic walk. You can find sculptures and monuments and beautiful fountains. You can meet friends and have drinks. And... More
