We went to the castle with a tour called getaway Munich that specialises in tours around Bavaria. The castle is in a mountain and it takes around 30-35 min to get to it uphill. Amazing views! Recommended tour if you have a few hours as it takes around 1:30- 2 hours to get there by car. Allow plenty of time... More

Although you'll need a full day excursion to get there, it is worth visiting it. The view is absolutely spectacular from every point. It's a real pity that you are not allowed to take pictures inside the castle, but the rooms are wonderful and the story of this sight is full of charme.

The castle is truly stunning and well worth the hike to get to. We did however find that it was not very efficiently run. The queue for tickets was incredibly long and not obvious whether smith were queuing to sight see or enter the castle. After a very long time queuing, we discovered the next English speaking tour was in... More

Our tour was perfect! It was a beautiful sunny day in March. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and quite funny at times. The bus trip was perfect and our tour guide purchased the tickets for everyone so we didn't have to line up. We could not have asked for a better day.

The castle is just as picturesque in person as it is in images and videos. The setting is pretty unbelievable, and the views are fantastic. I visited once about 20 years ago, and recently in the past couple of weeks. There were some notable changes: The crowds were much bigger. Make sure to book your reservation far in advance… a... We got a 3 Castle tour with our Chauffeur "Daetz-Service" and got to go to Lindenhof, Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein. We hade always a guided tour for each castle and a lovely spot for Lunch next to the Castle Neuschwanstein. The Castle's and History was very Magical and interesting. Even for my family ;-)

Our visit to nueschwanstein castle was perfect! It was a beautiful day in March. The ticket line was short and the views were breathtaking! This castle is a must see in Germany. I'm glad we went in March, as crowds were light and it was pleasant to just be there in this beautiful location!

This is something I'll never forget. Incredibly beautiful. The views from up top the hill are spectacular too. If you're anywhere close to this in your travels, it's a MUST SEE

The castle is lovely, picturesque, but slightly out of the way, depending where you are coming from of course. My friends and I drove from Munich to the castle and it was an hour and a half drive. Neuschwanstein is smaller than the pictures online make it seem. The castle was never fully finished and so the tour inside is... More

Amazing place to visit. Castle tours offered in several different languages. Trails all over the mountain offering fantastic views of the castle and Bavarian landscape.
