This church is located right off the main square, it was very beautiful and has an unique history in that fact Pope Benedict was the priest here in the late 70s. This is also right next to St. Michael's so can you stop at that...More

A very nice cathedral. Only the scaffolding is the problem, but I understand that it’ a necessary to reconstruct the situation and make the people an unrepeatable experience. But I don’t understand, why isn’t used a decorative sail that can cover the scaffolding. It’s commonly...More

I drop by the Fraunkirche relatively often, just to have a look. From the outside, its enormous brick towers are very impressive. Inside, it is much plainer than one might expect, but the high ceiling and simple decoration is actually very beautiful. I have been...More

The Frauenkirche, the roman catholic cathedral, is a visual landmark in Munich. With it's two characteristic towers it serves well as an orientation point in the city. Severly damaged during WWII, the interior is not much to write home about. Rather dull and bland. Outside...More

The towers were closed for renovation but the church itself had plenty of interest. Some lovely architecture. The devil’s footprint was larger than I expected.

Frauenkirche, the Cathedral of Our Dear Lady is situated in the center of Munich. This is the Cathedral of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising. The Cathedral is constructed in late Gothic style in the 15-th century, on the place of an older church. It...More

The church is not really the most interesting. The biggest story or attraction is the supposed devil's footprint. While walking around downtown, worth a quick look.

Topped by the iconic zwiebeltuerme (onion domes), this is one of the symbols of Munich. Well worth a look, either as part of city scape or for a visit if you have time.

It was interesting to see the iconic church in Munich. The devil’s footprint was fun to see but it was sadly gated off so we could only see it from a distance.

Don't know the answer to this. St. Peter is a good idea if you had a good preparation like a lunch or breakfast. I personally did not like the very narrow balcony, It is quite a challenge to pass between two people. But the... More
