Overall the garden is very lively and I found the food to be quite tasty. Despite being crowded it was not hard to find a table. I enjoyed my time spent there. My big problem was upon returning the beer mugs. When you order beer...More

This is a great beer garden in the Englischer Garten where you can have a beer and people watch. It's a wonderful place to sit down after a nice stroll or bike ride.

After walking the park, we stopped here to eat and drink. Food is self serving. You choose they serve. We had roasted veggies and chicken that did not disappoint. Music played from the small local band. Great way to spend the afternoon.

If you're spending an enjoyable few hours in the English Garden, then I'd recommend Biergarten Chenesischen for lunch. There's a comprehensive selection of food incl. vegetarian options. Credit card payment only above 20 euros. Note, if drinking alcohol you'll have to pay a deposit for...More

Nice Biergarten in the English Garden. It's a ways in. The space is large with lots of seating. There was a German band playing traditional music. The food and beets were good, they serve Hofbrau. We shared some sausages, potatoes a pretzel and a donut....More

Food and beer was okay. Very crowded in self serve food area even though the garden was not very busy. Opt for the big one by the main train station that most of the locals frequent. Better food better beer and atmosphere.

A nice bier garten in middle of English garden. Chinese temple great backdrop. Love the live music in the tower. Not a lot of food/beer options compared to other bier gardens but still a wonderful space.

When in the English Garden park, this is the beer garden to sit, have a drink, eat some food and take in the atmosphere. Well worth spending several hours here by itself. There is a play park so the children can have fun while the...More

This is once of largest biergartens in Munich, maybe #2 or #3, and is really popular in the Spring and Summer. It is often very busy, especially on the weekends, but kind of mandatory for those passing through. I've seen most of Munich's biergartens, and...More

It's an easy walk within the city. We didn't take a tour, we simply followed a map. It's a nice setting in which to enjoy the local food. I don't know if it counts as a "wonderful restaurant" as it's on such a large scale... More
