The gardens are lovely (and free) to wander through and the palace is well worth the price of admission. There are many beautiful private rooms and magnificent baroque court rooms to tour all filled with impressive paintings and very helpful information on the palace's former...More

Nymphenburg is a great place to explore and learn. The main room of the palace is literally the cover of a guide book and carriage room has a lot of interesting sleighs and carriages. Strolling the grounds to visit the outer buildings was enjoyable and...More

First, TRANSPORTATION. It is NOT outside of Munich. It is well within the city. Granted, 200 years ago, it was considered the farmlands but not now! If you google, you should be able to find out which TRAMS will go to the area. For instance,...More

Take your time and plan a few hours here, and research all there is to see. I know we missed a lot cause we were short on time, but we will return in the future!

We enjoyed our visit to the Nymphenburg Palace. We didn’t tour inside the palace but just enjoyed the beauty and peace of the grounds. Lovely peaceful place to visit.

Not far from the city center. I am delighted with the rich artifacts and exhibits in the castle and come back to the 19th century. A beautiful park where you can breathe a lot of fresh air.

It is difficult to express the size of this palace, but is massive. The tour only covers two floors of the main building but that is more the adequate to give you a feel for the grandeur of the palace and its residents. The central...More

Unlike the other responses I believe that the audio guide is essential since it provides wonderful insights and helps to avoid aimless wandering through this wonderful palace.
