Very popular scenic park, more internaitonal than its name would suggest, it contains a Greek temple, Chinese pagoda and Japanese tea house.

The English Garden was awesome. The grounds were lovely. But the most fun was watching the surfers...yes surfers.....in the river off-shoot. They had on wetsuits because the temps were in the 30s, and they were so much fun to watch! I highly recommend it for...More

The English Garden was nothing special at all really but had nice areas and a nice lake. In all honesty we went in in winter and it would be far better in summer!

We visited on a kind of rainy day in January, but still enjoyed walking around the park. There's so many paths! Enjoyed watching surfers practice on the wave.

The English Garden is large with lots of paths for strolling. Enjoyable way to spend some quiet time -- or visit the large beer garden to enjoy a lively meal.

We had a “Narnia” experience here in December. As we entered English Garden the snow started and we got an amazing experience of a beautiful park and crazy surfers on the river (yes real surfers). Beautiful place to escape the city.

A stroll through the gardens on a chilly winters afternoon is a must. You feel as though you have been transported to another world. Hard to believe that you are in the middle of Munich.

the Giselastrabe and or Universitatis stations are close to the garden. Again it depends where in the garden you want to visit. Probably half hour walk from your station.
