This is a very impressive public square commemorating the Bavarian ruler Max Joseph. It is near other important places such as the Residenz so while impressive in its own right, certainly worth a visit.

So much to do in this city. And see and experience. They have rebuilt it so well and held onto the past so well as well.

This is a very busy and lively square as it is in the intersection of the Residence, Opera House and Maximilian Street. So many things to see and lots of ‘action’ in this area.

From Marienplatz to Max-JHoseph-Platz, a 5 minutes walk. Night and day it is worth. The city opera is located there.
