Beautiful church

Really worth the visit. Interesting architecture and the area is easy to acess, once it is in the altstadt. In july, the wine fest happens in front of this church.

Interesting church but not one of the most beautiful in Nuremberg.Anyway, somehow different from the other churches in town, with its round dome.Across the street is another beautiful church,Jakobskirche.

An interesting church but not as beautiful as many in Nuremberg. Very imposing exterior with interesting domed ceiling.

Very relaxing place. Yes, the details and design all beautiful. What struck us most is the calmness, and how the place relaxed us.

As I have said before. Churches gets full points always. You just can not rate this kind of hard work of architect and purpose of this building. This church is with open door, but iron gates are stopping to go in.

Built in the classical sense of three rooms with the center an impressive dome with statues of the 12 apostles. Not being overrun with tourists it serves as a great place of quiet lending itself for a moment of reflection and meditation. Should definitely be seen if you are an architecture buff.

I go there when I really need some quiet time in the city center - to fill up my empty batteries and want to have silence. Go there in the first row just beneath the dome and meditate. Usually not so many people go in there - like at the other churches.

St. Elisabeth church is the only neoclassical one in Nuremberg. As St. Jacobs church it is located in Jakobsplatz. Both churches are very different from one another, since St. Jacobs church is of gothic style. Notwithstanding that, they both belonged once to the Teutonic Order. When the church of St. Elizabeth was erected in the thirteenth century the building was... More

Bringing the altar to the middle of the round is just one of the touches that makes this church on of the more popular in Nuernberg. Incredible baroque architecture and a delightful dome.

a pleasant architectural change to the sombre cathedrals of drab dark stone, this almost georgian baroque church has a soaring lightness and whiteness good for the soul
